These organizations welcome psychologists, as well as other professionals, invested in providing services such as psychotherapy, divorce, separation and family law to the public.
The Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND) is the statewide non-profit professional organization of Connecticut mediators and collaborative divorce practitioners. Its membership includes attorneys, mental health professionals and financial specialists. CCND’s mission is to change the way people divorce or separate in Connecticut by reducing conflict and improving the lives of family members – especially children. I am a member of the Board and Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee.
CCND’s Mission:
Promote dignified, respectful, and private processes through mediation and collaborative divorce
Establish and preserve the highest standards of practice and integrity
Require and facilitate professional education for its members
Promote non-adversarial conflict resolution
Increase awareness of alternatives to litigation
Divorce Solutions of CT - DSC - is a regional organization of family law professionals on the CT shoreline and New Haven areas focusing on providing non-adversarial divorce/separation services. DSC’s professionals are trained in Mediation and the Interdisciplinary Model of Collaborative Divorce. We share a commitment to resolving problems using cooperative strategies rather than adversarial techniques.
CDTC
The Collaborative Divorce Team of CT - CDTC - is a regional organization of family lawa professionals in the Cheshire/Waterbury/Hamden areas focusing on providing non-adversarial divorce/separation services. Collaborative divorce uses a team approach. Lawyers, mental health professionals and financial specialists all come together to help support you and your family throughout your divorce.
IACP
The International Academy of Collaborative Professionals - IACP - is the worldwide community of legal, mental health and financial professionals working in concert to create client-centered processes for resolving conflict. IACP’s Mission is to transform the way families resolve conflict by building a global community of Collaborative Practice and consensual dispute resolution professionals.
